RE:APPLICATION FOR CERTIFICATE OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY BY LCI INTERNATIONAL TELECOM CORP.
On June 9, 1997, an Application for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity  to provide local exchange telecommunications services was filed by LCI International Telecom Corp.  By its Application, LCI seeks a certificate authorizing it to provide basic local exchange services to both residential and business customers in the areas of Idaho served by U S WEST and GTE Northwest.  
Staff has worked with LCI to obtain the information required to accompany an Application for a Certificate, and is satisfied that LCI has or will soon be able to complete its Application.  Staff therefore recommends that the Application filed by LCI be processed by Modified Procedure.
Commission Decision
Should the Application of LCI for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity be processed by Modified Procedure?
