COMMISSION APPROVAL TO INCREASE RATES FOR ITS SAFETY
LINE AND SECURITY LINE BROADBAND BUNDLES.ADVICE 13-02.
BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION
On June 27,2013.Potlatch filed Advice No.13-02 requesting Commission approval to
increase its rates for its Safety Line and Security Line Bundles.The proposed rate increase is for
the broadband portion of the bundled services and has no effect on the local rate for the basic
access line
Safety Line Service is a bundle for residential customers who have their main
telecommunications service with a wireless provider,but require a basic access line for backup
and high speed data.The bundle includes a Residential One-Party line and 1.5 Mbps high speed
data.Currently the monthly bundle base rate is S49.95 and will increase to S51 .95.
The Security Line Service is also a bundle for residential customers who have their main
telecommunications service with a wireless provider and require a basic access line for backup
and emergency service along with their high speed data.The bundle includes a Residential One-
Party line and provides up to I Mbps high speed data.The current broadband service is priced at
S39.96 per month and ill increase to $41.95.The Company notes that other data speeds may be
available for an additional charge.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff has reviewed this tariff filing for bundled service(s)and recommends approval.
