On February 28, 2020, West Safety Communications, Inc. (“Company”) requested the
Commission change the name on its Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (“CPCN”)
to Intrado Safety Communications, Inc. The Company provides local telecommunications service
within Idaho under Certificate No. 388 as Intrado Communications, Inc. The Company has asked
the Commission to update the CPCN to reflect the Company’s new name. With this Order, we
grant the Company’s request.
BACKGROUND
In 2001, the Commission issued CPCN No. 388 to SCC Communications Corporation.
On July 18, 2001, SCC Communications Corporation notified the Commission that it had changed
its name to Intrado Communications, Inc. On August 6, 2001, the Commission ordered that CPCN
No. 388 be amended to reflect the Company’s new name. Order No. 28815.
The Company has now notified the Commission that it changed its name to Intrado
Safety Communications, Inc.1 The Company included in its Application a copy of the Amendment
of Foreign Registration Statement with the Idaho Secretary of State’s office. A Certificate of
Amendment was issued by the Idaho Secretary of State on December 2, 2019. Commission Staff
reviewed the Company’s Application and supporting documentation and recommended that the
Commission amend CPCN No. 388 to reflect the name change to Intrado Safety Communications,
Inc.
FINDINGS
Based on our review of the Company’s filing and Staff’s recommendation, the
Commission finds it appropriate to amend CPCN No. 388 to reflect that the Company has changed
its name to Intrado Safety Communications, Inc.

February 25, 2016 to change the name on CPCN No. 388 from Intrado Communications, Inc. to West Safety
Communications, Inc. The Commission has no record of such a request.

IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that CPCN No. 388 is amended to reflect that the CPCN
holder’s name is Intrado Safety Communications, Inc. An amended CPCN shall issue to reflect
the new name.
THIS IS A FINAL ORDER. Any person interested in this Order may petition for
reconsideration within twenty-one (21) days of the service date of this Order. Within seven (7)
days after any person has petitioned for reconsideration, any other person may cross-petition for
reconsideration. See Idaho Code § 61-626.
