TO IONEX COMMUNICATIONS NORTH,)LLC.)
On March 16,2018,Ionex Communications North,Inc.dba Birch Communications
notified the Commission that it had changed its name to Ionex Communications North,LLC dba
Birch Communications.The Company provides local and interexchange telecommunications
services within the State of Idaho under Certificate of Public Convenienceand Necessity (CPCN)
No.514.The Company has asked the Commission to update the CPCN to reflect the Company's
new name.With this Order,we grant the Company's request.
BACKGROUND
In 2013,the Commission authorized Ionex Communications North,Inc.dba Birch
Communications,to provide local and interexchangetelecommunications services in Idaho under
CPCN No.514.See Order No.32809.
The Company has now notified the Commission that it has converted from a
corporation to a limited liabilitycompany and changed its name to Ionex Communications North,
LLC.In its notification,the Company represented that the name change will not affect its rates or
services to customers.The Company also filed copies of the Idaho Secretary of State's Statement
of Withdrawal for Ionex Communications North,Inc.and Certificate of Registration for Ionex
Communications North,LLC.The Company also filed an updated Local and Interexchange
Service Tariff and Access Services Tariff that reflect the Company's new name,add sequential
page numbers,and correct section numbering.The Company asked that the updated tariffs take
effect on March 26,2018.
After reviewing the Company's proposed changes,Staff recommended that the
Commission approve them.

FINDINGS
Based on our review of the Company's filing and Staff's recommendation,the
Commission finds it appropriate to amend CPCN No.514 to reflect that the Company has changed
its name to Ionex Communications North,LLC dba Birch Communications.Further,as the
updates to its Local and Interexchange Service Tariff and Access Services Tariff do not affect
customer rates or services but merely make "housekeeping"changes that reflect the Company's
new name and fix page and section numbering,we find it appropriateto approve the updated tariffs
as filed.
ORDER
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that Certificate No.514 is amended to reflect that the
certificate holder's name is lonex Communications North,LLC dba Birch Communications.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the Company's updated tariffs are approved as filed,
effective March 26,2018.
THIS IS A FINAL ORDER.Any person interested in this Order may petition for
reconsideration within twenty-one (21)days of the service date of this Order with regard to any
matter decided in this Order in Case No.INX-T-13-01.Within seven (7)days after any person
has petitioned for reconsideration,any other person may cross-petition for reconsideration.See
Idaho Code §§61-626 and 62-619.
