NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that on December 21, 1999, Inland filed an Application requesting approval to increase its local exchange rates and to increase its distribution from the Idaho Universal Service Fund (USF). Inland proposed to increase its local rates over a period of three years to the rates required by Idaho law for companies that receive funds from the Idaho Universal Service Fund. The Staff of the Public Utilities Commission and the Company are now proposing that Inland’s rates be moved to the legally required threshold rates for companies that receive Universal Service Fund payments. Those rates are expected to be $21.63 for residential service and $40.68 for business service as of October 2000.
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that a public hearing in this case will commence on WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 30, 2000, AT 7:00 P.M. AT THE MOSCOW CITY HALL/COMMUNITY CENTER, 206 EAST 3RD STREET, MOSCOW, IDAHO, IN THE CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS (2ND FLOOR).
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that all hearings and prehearing conferences in this matter will be held in facilities meeting the accessibility requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act. In order to participate, understand testimony and argument at a public hearing, persons needing the help of a sign language interpreter or other assistance may ask the Commission to provide a sign language interpreter or other assistance as required under the Americans with Disabilities Act. The request for assistance must be received at least five (5) working days before the hearing by contacting the Commission Secretary at:
