RE: CASE NO. GNR-T-99-16; APPLICATION OF MVX.Com COMMUNICA-
TIONS, INC. FOR A CERTIFICATE OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY
On August 19, 1999, MVX.COM filed an Application for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity to provide local exchange telecommunications services within the state of Idaho. The Commission issued on September 10, 1999, a Notice of Application and Notice of Modified Procedure to process the Application. During the comment period, written comments were filed only by the Commission Staff. Staff noted that MVX.COM proposes to resell all forms of intrastate local exchange telecommunication services throughout the areas of Idaho served by U S WEST and GTE, using the facilities of the incumbent LECs. Staff reviewed the financial information provided by the Company and concluded that the statements indicate an acceptable level of financial capability.
Staff recommends that the Application of MVX.COM Communications, Inc. for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity to provide local exchange telecommunications services be approved.
