FOR A CERTIFICATE OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY CASE NO. GNR-T-99-1 On January 14, 1999, an Application for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity was filed by NextLink Idaho, Inc. to provide local exchange, interexchange and intrastate switched and dedicated access services within the state of Idaho. NextLink is a Washington corporation with its principal business address in Bellevue. Its Application states that it initially plans to offer local exchange services to both business and residential customers, with a primary focus on business customers. The Company proposes to initially provide local exchange service in Boise, Idaho Falls and Coeur d’Alene areas. Staff recommends that the Application of NextLink Idaho, Inc. for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity be processed by Modified Procedure.
