GNR-T-97-3 NOTICE OF ADDITIONAL PUBLIC HEARING ORDER NO. 27182 In Order No. 27150 issued September 24, 1997, the Commission scheduled a public hearing in the above-referenced case to be held November 19, 1997 at 10:00 a.m. in the Swan Valley American Legion Hall.  The purpose of the public hearing was to gather evidence regarding the community-of-interest among residents of the Gray’s Lake, Wayan and Freedom areas and the U S WEST Communications eastern Idaho calling region.  The petitioners have asked the Commission to include them in the calling region.  Given the location of the petitioners and that their county seat is Soda Springs, the Commission finds there is good cause to schedule an additional public hearing in this matter on less than 14 days’ notice.  IDAPA 31.01.01.241. YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that the Commission, on its own Motion, has decided to schedule an additional public hearing in this matter to be held on THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 6, 1997, AT 9:30 A.M. IN THE CARIBOU COUNTY SENIOR CITIZENS CENTER, 60 SOUTH MAIN STREET, SODA SPRINGS, IDAHO.  The purpose of the public hearing is to receive evidence regarding the community-of-interest between the Petitioner and the requested calling areas. YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that all hearings in this matter will be held in facilities meeting the accessibility requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act.  Persons needing the help of a sign language interpreter or other assistance of the kind that the Commission is obligated to provide under the Americans with Disabilities Act in order to participate in or to understand the testimony and argument at a public hearing may ask the Commission to provide a sign language interpreter or other assistance at the hearing.  The request for assistance must be received at least five (5) working days before the hearing by contacting the Commission Secretary at: IDAHO PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION PO BOX 83720 BOISE, IDAHO  83720-0074 (208) 334-0338  (TELEPHONE) (208) 334-3151  (TEXT TELEPHONE) (208) 334-3762  (FAX) YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that the Petition has been filed with the Commission and is available for public inspection during regular business hours at the Commission offices. YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that all proceedings in this case will be held pursuant to the Commission's jurisdiction under Title 61 of the Idaho Code and that the Commission may enter any final Order consistent with its authority under Title 61. YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that all proceedings in this matter will be conducted pursuant to the Commission's Rules of Procedure, IDAPA 31.01.01.000 et seq.
