This letter is submitted to request that the ldaho Public Utilities Commission (Commission) notify the
Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC)
pursuant to 47 C.F.R. 554.314 that Viasat Carrier Services, lnc. ('Company') is eligible to receive federal
high-cost (Connect America Fund) support.
ln accordance with 47 C.F.R. 554.313, enclosed is an affidavit attesting that the Company only used
support received in ldaho during the preceding calendar year and will only use support received in ldaho
in the coming calendar year for the provision, maintenance, and upgrading of facilities and services for
which support is intended.
The Company willfile FCC Form 481 in compliance with FCC rules and respectfully requests that the
Commission notify the FCC and USAC by October 1 of this year that Viasat Carrier Services, lnc. is eligible to
receive high-cost support for 2023.

The ldaho Public Utilities Commisslon Order No. 29841 requires that Eligible Telecommunications Carriers
(ETC) certfi that they are compliant with appllcable service quality standards and consumer protectlon rules;
and ETCs must demonstrate the ablll$ to remaln funclional ln emergencleo. ln additlon, the CommlsBlon
must lile an annualcertilication with the USAC and the FCC that allfederal hlgh-cost support provided to
ETCs within the State of ldaho wil! be used only for the provislon, malntenance, and upgrading of hcilities
and servicee for which the support ls intended. Accordingly, the undersigned states and verilies under oath
the followlng:
1. I am an oflicer ol Vlasat Canler *rulces. lnc, an eligible telecommunications carier reoeiving federal
universal seMce support under sectlon 214(e) of the Telecommunlcatlons Act of 1 996 in the Etate of
ldaho.
2. I am familiar with the Company's day-today operations in the state of ldaho and with the State'a service
quality etandarde and consumer protection rules ae set forth in Commlssion Order No.29841.
3. Wasat Canier Serulcos. lrc.ls compVing with applicable eervice quality standards and consumer
protection rules of the FederalCommunlcations Commission and the ldaho Public Utilities Commlssion.
4. I certiff to the Commission that the Company le able to remain functional in emergencies as set forth in
Commission Order No. 29841 and in 47 C.F.R. $ 54.201(a)(2).
5. I also certify that allfederal unlversaleervlce support funds received by Viasal Canier &ruims, lnc.
during the preceding calendar year were and all funde received in the current calendar year wlll be
used in a manner oonsistent wlthSeglbpz$4@[lhgt ls, forthe provision, malntenance, and upgrading
of facllities and services forwhich the support is intended. The company will continue to comply for
the period of January 1,2023, through December 31,2023, to be eligible for federal universal service
fund support.
6. This verffication and afiidavit is provided to the ldaho Public Utilltles Gommission to enable the IPUC to
certiff to the FCC that federal universal eeMce support received by the eligible carriers ln the state will
be uEed in a mannerconsistent wilh Section 254(e) of the TelecommunicationsAct.
