Stakeholders,
In Case No, GNR-T-17-05, Order No. 33951, the Commission ordered two
workshops be held, and a deadline for stakeholder position pap€r submittal, in relation to
the future of the ldaho Universal Services Fun (IUSF). We appreciate your time and
consideration at the first workshop and in the position papers that were submitted.
Commission Staff is now in the process of analyzing the papers and, as a result, would
like to propose that the second workshop (scheduled for February 78,2018) be canceled
and an altemate schedule be ordered.
In lieu of the second workshop, Commission Staff will be proposing to the
Commission that its summary and report be filed by April 4, 2018, with a 2l-day reply
period for stakeholders to provide any reply commentary and/or analysis. Staff would
also propose that at the end of the reply period, the matter be considered fully submiued
for the Commission's deliberation, unless otherwise ordered by the Commission.
Due to its schedule, the Comrnission will not be holding a public decision meeting
until February 7A,2018, during which Staff will propose the above-outlined alternate
schedule.
