Dear Pearl Petitioner,C¡'J
!""..'.
o(.
Last month, the Commission initiated Case No. GNR- T -08-4 to examine your
request that Albion Telephone Company be allowed to provide communications services
to the Pearl area. The Commission's Order No. 30702 named as participants in this
docket the 24 Pearl Petitioners, Qwest Corporation and Albion Telephone Company
(ATC Communications or Albion). A copy of this Order was mailed to you.
The Order invited other interested parties to intervene and stated that the
Commission Staff will convene an informal prehearing conference to discuss the
processing of this case, as well as other related issues. There were no other persons who
asked to intervene. Consequently, the next step is to set the time and date for the
informal prehearing conference.
All petitioners are welcome to paricipate in the prehearing conference. As
petitioners, you are well suited to discuss the quality of the existing telephone services.
However, to improve communications, I ask that you select one or two representatives
among the 24 petitioners who can coordinate with the Commission Staff to schedule the
prehearing conference and the processing of this case. If you have retained an attorney,
please let us know and we will include your legal counsel in this process.
To move forward expeditiously, please call or e-mail me by January 20, 2009,
with the name(s), telephone number(s), and addressees) of the Pearl Petition
repre~entative(s) or your legal counsel. If you have other questions, please call me at the
telephone number listed below.
Sincerely,
~QLRLIU
