On March 28, 2005, the Commission issued a Notice of Investigation and Notice of
Modified Procedure, Order No. 29743, in this matter to investigate whether the LPIC change
charges established by the Commission should coincide with the PIC change charges established
by the FCC. On April 8, 2005, the FCC extended its previously set deadline for the filing of
revised federal tariffs for interstate PIC change charges from April 14, 2005 to October 17, 2005
in response to petitions from many local carriers expressing difficulties complying with the April
14 deadline. Qwest Corporation submitted an Application asking this Commission for an
additional 30 days in which to file comments in this case.
NOTICE OF EXTENDED COMMENT/PROTEST DEADLINE
YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that the deadline for filing written comments or
protests with respect to this matter and the Commission s use of Modified Procedure in Case
No. GNR-05-1 is May 18, 2005. Persons desiring a hearing must specifically request a
hearing in their written protests or comments.
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that written comments concerning this case
should be mailed to the Commission at the address reflected below.
