On February 10,2014,Covista Communications,Inc.(Covista)requested that its
Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (CPCN)No.415 issued by the Commission on
August 6,2003,be cancelled.In its Decision Meeting on February 24,2014,the Commission
approved Covista’s request for cancellation of Certificate No.415.
COMMISSION FINDINGS
In May 2003,Covista filed an application for a CPCN to provide facilities-based and
resold local exchange and interexchange services in Idaho.Covista amended the application in June
2003.In July 2003,the Commission granted Covista’s application for a CPCN.Order No.29308.
On February 10,2014,Covista requested cancellation of its Certificate.Staff
recommended the Commission cancel Certificate No.415 and remove the Company’s price list or
tariff on file.
ORDER
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that Covista Communications,Inc.’s request for cancellation
of Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity No.415 is granted.Certificate No.415 is no
longer in effect,and Covista is no longer authorized to provide telecommunications services in the
State of Idaho.
THIS IS A FINAL ORDER.Any person interested in this Order or in interlocutory
Orders previously issued in this case may petition for reconsideration within twenty-one (21)days of
the service date of this Order with regard to any matter decided in this Order or in interlocutory
Orders previously issued in this case.Within seven (7)days after any person has petitioned for
reconsideration,any other person may cross-petition for reconsideration.See Idaho Code §§61-619
and 6 1-626.
