BACKGROUND
On December 23 2010, American Fiber Network, Inc. notified the Commission to
request that its Certificate and all price lists be cancelled. In its notice, AFN indicated that it is in
the process of exiting the industry and that it currently has four Idaho long distance customers.
The Company included its customer notice that was issued December 15 2010. An effective
date of January 21 2011 was also requested by the Company. Staff did a follow-up call to the
Company regarding the customer notice and to inquire as whether or not the Company had been
contacted by any of its Idaho customers. The Company indicated that it had not been contacted
by any customers.
