Dear Commissioners:
The River of No Return Ranch Homeowners Association is a small subdivision serviced by Rural Telephone
Company. Presently there are three fulltime residents and five vacation homes in the area. Most of these homes
have Rural Telephone service. We are located 13 1/2 miles west, or downriver, from North Fork, ID.
At the recent Board of Directors meeting, we discussed the above case regarding toll-free calling from Shoup into
the North Fork/Salmon exchanges. The Board and its 31 homeowner members are overwhelmingly in favor of
the IPUC approving this case.
Other than social calls among ourselves in the Shoup area, we are an isolated exchange that has to call long
distance to conduct normal business, government, medical, law enforcement, emergency, etc. matters that other
exchanges enjoy at local rates. We are willing to pay a reasonable rate increase to help recover the cost for
converting our exchange to a toll-free status with the North Fork/Salmon exchanges
Again , the Board of Directors of the River of No Return Ranch Homeowners Association requests the IPUC to
approve Case No. GNR-01-, Order No. 29613. Thank you for your help in considering this matter.
