Re: State Responsibility for Code Reclamation Process

Dear Ms. Tokarek:

In the Federal Communications Commission’s Numbering Resource Order (FCC Order 00-104), the Commission granted State commissions authority over NXX reclamation procedures. This letter is to inform the North American Numbering Plan Administrator (NANPA) of the Idaho Public Utilities Commission’s (IPUC) intention to assume, for the time being, NXX reclamation authority. On September 24, 2001, the IPUC determined in its decision meeting to adopt NXX reclamation authority.

I have asked Doug Cooley from our Staff to continue overseeing numbering matters. Please notify him regarding code holders who have overdue Part IV’s. He may be reached at:
