GNR-T-97-22 GNR-T-00-2 NOTICE OF HEARING PROCEDURAL ORDER NO. 28551 IN THE MATTER OF THE INVESTIGATION TO ESTABLISH THE IDAHO HIGH COST FUND AS REQUIRED BY IDAHO CODE § 62-610A THROUGH F. ) ) ) ) ) As a result of a prehearing conference on September 18, 2000, a workshop was convened in this case on October 13, 2000, to give the parties an opportunity to discuss proposals for implementing a non-rural universal service fund (USF) for the state of Idaho. The Commission directed the parties to “help [the Commission] devise a simple, practical, understandable scheme for Idaho’s non-rural USF using readily available data and information so that we can quickly resolve these issues and complete this process.” Tr. p. 1022. Comments regarding a specific proposal were filed by the Commission Staff on October 2, 2000, and the parties have indicated a willingness to participate in ongoing discussions to reach agreement, if possible, on a methodology to establish a non-rural high-cost fund pursuant to Idaho Code § 62-610F. The parties also agreed to a procedural schedule for prefiling testimony and convening a hearing. The Commission adopts the schedule proposed by the parties, as follows: Date for prefiling direct testimony (all parties) Date for prefiling rebuttal testimony (all parties) Hearing Date December 4, 2000 January 10, 2001 January 29-31, 2001 NOTICE OF HEARING YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that a hearing in this matter will convene on MONDAY, JANUARY 29, 2001 AT 9:30 A.M. IN THE COMMISSION HEARING ROOM, 472 WEST WASHINGTON STREET, BOISE, IDAHO, and will continue, if necessary, through Wednesday, January 31, 2000. YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that all hearings and prehearing conferences in this matter will be held in facilities meeting the accessibility requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act. In order to participate, understand testimony and argument at a public hearing, persons needing the help of a sign language interpreter or other assistance may ask the Commission to provide a sign language interpreter or other assistance as required under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
