PETITION FOR EXTENDED AREA SERVICE
A Petition for Extended Area Service (EAS) should indicate the proposed routes between/among communities or exchanges.  The Petition should also indicate the reasons supporting the requests.  More specifically, the Petition should address those community of interest standards that the Commission uses to evaluate EAS requests.  See Order No. 26311.  Customers signing the Petition are required to indicate the amount of local rate increase they are willing to pay to obtain the requested toll-free EAS routes.
