I am generally aware that RMC alleges that it has experienced problems in obtaining necessary facilities from U S WEST in a timely manner at several of its Idaho Internet service sites and that RMC has experienced billing problems. These billing disputes may be the reason that RMC has received several disconnection notices. It is also my understanding the RMC personnel had an opportunity to meet with its U S WEST account manager, Ron Anderson, concerning the billing problem. In my discussions with Mr. Lukes, he indicated that RMC was preparing to provide Mr. Anderson the background billing data it believes necessary to resolve the billing disputes. In our separate conversations last Tuesday, I discussed the possibility of meeting. Given the recent meeting between Mr. Anderson and RMC personnel it may be advisable to wait and see if the companies can work their problems out. Consequently, it is my intention to contact each of you on April 9, 1998, to determine whether the parties have been able to amenably resolve their disputes. If it is your opinions at that time that an informal meeting with me would be productive, then we will set a meeting time. Although it is my hope that the parties are able to informally resolve their disputes, RMC does have the option of filing a formal complaint. If you have any questions, please contact me at 334-0312.
