Fatbeam is a registered CLEC within the State of Idaho, Washington,
Montana, Wyoming, and Oregon. Our services are Lit Ethernet above i
Gigabit per second and Dark Fiber. We continue to deploy our network in the
Coeur d'Alene metro area in 2012 to provide 2 Gigabit Ethernet connections to
the Post Falls and Coeur d'Alene School Districts. Internet traffic, voice, and
data are carried over our network to all school facilities. We believe this
qualifies our equipment under Idaho Code 63-30291. The school district is able
to use the USAC E-Rate program to help offset the cost of our service, as it is
eligible for Priority i—Telecommunications with E-Rate.
Fatbeam plans on leasing excess capacity on the network to other members of
the community, mainly in the form of dark fiber. Our customers on record as
of the end of 2012 are the City of Coeur d'Alene, Intermax Networks, Dave
Smith Motors, tw telecom, and Mammoth Networks (Idaho Transportation
Department). In 2013 we began servicing the Idaho Education Network
through Education Networks of America and XO Communications on our
Coeur d'Alene metro area network.
