RE:CANCELLATION OF CERTIFICATE NO. 350 IN CASE NO. FTL-98-
IONEX COMMUNICATIONS NORTH, INC. (fka FirsTel).
BACKGROUND
On November 9, 2007, the Commission received a request to cancel the authorization to
provide local exchange telecommqnications services and withdraw the price list of Ionex
Communications North, Inc. The Commission issued Certificate No. 350 in Case No. FTL-98-
on September 28 , 1998 , to FirsTel, Inc. See Order No. 27752. Over the years, the Company has
undergone many name changes and corporate reorganizations, and is currently known as Ionex
Communications North, Inc. However, the organization has no customers in Idaho and wishes to
cease its regulatory registration and annual fee assessments.
ST AFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff has reviewed the request and agrees that there will be no customers impacted by the
cancellation of this certificate and recommends approval. Does the Commission agree?
