SUBJECT: SCHEDULING PUBLIC HEARINGS IN THE AVISTA RATE CASE,
CASE NOS. AVU-E-10-01 AND AVU-G-10-01

In Order No. 31083 issued May 12, 2010, the Commission scheduled technical
hearings in these combined rate cases for September 22-24 in Boise. Consistent with Rule 127,
the Staff conducted its public workshops on June 28, 2010, in Lewiston and on June 29, 2010, in
Coeur d’Alene.
The week after the technical hearing (September 27-October 1) is open on the
Commissioners’ calendar. Accordingly, Staff recommends the Commission conduct its public
hearings some time during the week following the technical hearing.

1. When and where does the Commission wish to hold its public hearings in the
Avista electric and gas rate cases?
