On July 17, 1997, the Filer Mutual Telephone Company (Filer Mutual) filed a Motion for interim relief seeking immediate disbursements from the Universal Service Fund pending the Commissions final decision in this matter. In its Motion, Filer Mutual seeks, for the interim, one-twelfth of its purported residual revenue requirement of $222,887.

FINDINGS
We find that Filer Mutuals Application in this proceeding is a case of first impression for this Commission. That is, we have never received an Application for USF funding from a non-profit telephone company. Consequently, we find that this case is of sufficient importance and complexity that the granting of interim funding would not be appropriate. In order to accommodate Filer Mutuals needs to the extent we can, however, we will expedite the processing of this case as set forth below.
