SUBJECT: FIBER BROADBAND, LLC'S (DBA TRU FIBER) APPLICATION FOR A
CERTIFICATE OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY; CASE
NO. FBL-T-18-01.
On March 28,2018, Fiber Broadband LLC, dba Tru Fiber, applied to the Commission
for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (CPCN) authorizing it to provide local
exchange services and high-speed Internet services in Idaho.
THE APPLICATION
Fiber Broadband, LLC is an Idaho limited liability company. Application at 3 and
Exhibit A thereto. Fiber Broadband LLC plans to deploy a fiber network to support Local
Exchange Services and high-speed Internet services throughout Southeast Idaho including:
Pocatello, Blackfoot, Idaho Falls, and Rexburg. The Company is seeking authorization to operate
throughout the state so it can expand service areas and pursue business opportunities where they
occur. Fiber Broadband, LLC plans to obtain an Interconnection Agreement with Centurylink.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Commission process Fiber Broadband, LLC's Application
under Modified Procedure with a Zl-day comment period.
