SUBJECT: IN THE MATTER OF EARTHGRID PBC’S APPLICATION FOR
AUTHORITY TO PROVIDE FACILITIES-BASED AND RESOLD LOCAL
EXCHANGE TELECOMMUNICATIONS SERVICES IN IDAHO; CASE
NO. EPC-T-22-01.
On December 19, 2022, EarthGrid PBC dba EarthGrid PBC Corporation (“EarthGrid”)
provided information necessary to obtain a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity that
would grant them the authority to provide facilities-based and Resold local exchange
telecommunication services in Idaho.
THE APPLICATION
EarthGrid is a Delaware public benefit company authorized to do business in Idaho. It plans
to provide facilities-based and resold basic local exchange telecommunication services to business
customers and to obtain interconnection agreements with the incumbent local exchange
companies. EarthGrid plans to offer service in the geographic areas currently served by
CenturyLink.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends of the Commission issue a Notice of Application and Notice of Modified
Procedure setting a 21-day comment deadline and 7-day reply deadline.
