BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION On June 23 , 2009, Potlatch filed Advice No. 09-02P requesting Commission approval to amend its optional bundled services offerings and add Safety Line Service. Safety Line Service is for residential customers who have their main telephone service with a wireless provider, but require a landline for emergency back-up and high speed data. The bundle includes a residential one-party line and 1.5 Mbps of high speed data. Safety Line Service will be provisioned where facilities are available. The customer is required to subscribe to this service for one year and will incur an early termination fee of $99 if the service is cancelled prior to the one-year commitment. Customers are also required subscribe to TDS Long Distance Corporation as their long distance provider and any toll calls will be billed at the TDS long distance toll rates. Optional calling plans are not available with this bundled service nor is it eligible for seasonal service. ST AFF RECOMMENDATION Staff has reviewed this tariff filing and finds that it will give customers another choice for bundled services and high speed data, where available. Staff also believes that the Company will be recovering its costs and recommends approval.
