Comment:I have a residence in the Terrace Lakes subdivision.Copper telephone line is
installed to the residence and the area is serviced by Frontier Communications.Even though
the previous owner had DSL,Frontier is unable to provide DSL to the residence because they
are out of “ports”.This has been a problem for years in this area.There is a waiting
list to get DSL from Frontier.The cable infrastructure is in place but Frontier will not
purchase or upgrade the equipment.Cellular service is very poor in this area and there must
be a clear view of the sky for satellite internet,so in reality,Frontier is the only viable
solution for many people.I dont think they should get a Broadband tax credit until they
can service 90%of the residents in the rural areas of Garden Valley/Crouch.
