TARIFF ADVICE 09-01P. BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION On April 29, 2009, Potlatch filed Advice No. 09-01P requesting Commission approval to amend its three bundled services called STAR Package. The Company wishes to remove the requirement for its customers to subscribe to TDS Long Distance in order to receive the calling packages. The Company also wishes to allow customers subscribing to the STAR Packages to have the option of choosing no primary interexchange carrier ("pic ) I or to keep their preferred carrIer. The three STAR service packages are optional service bundles and each includes a Residential One-Party Line, plus various custom calling features (call waiting/cancel call waiting, call forwarding, preferred call forwarding, caller ID, voice mail, etc.). For those customers who do not subscribe to TDS Long Distance, the package will include 30 minutes of free TDS long distance calling. DECISION MEMORANDUM - 1 -APRIL 30, 2009 STAFF RECOMMENDATION Staff has reviewed this tariff filing and finds that it will give customers new choices for bundled services. Staff also believes that the Company will be recovering its costs and recommends approval.
