Dear Ms. Jewell:
I write on behalf of AT&T Inc., to advise you that AT&T Inc.'s acquisition of Leap Wireless
International, Inc. (LEAP), and the LEAP subsidiary company, Cricket Communications,
Inc. (Cricket), received Federal Communications Commission approval on Thursday, March
13,2014, and formally closed on that day. As a result of the acquisition, Cricket is now a
subsidiary company of AT&T Inc.
As you may be aware, Cricket was designated as an eligible telecommunications carier
(ETC) by the Commission for the purpose of receiving federal low-income progftrm
(Lifeline) universal service support in Case No. CRI-T-11-01, Order No. 32501 and Order
No. 32675. We are in the process of updating Cricket's registration to reflect its new
corporate ownership and other relevant information. Other than the change in ownership,
Cricket's operations in the state of ldatro remain unchanged for the immediate future.
Please consider this letter as notice to the Commission of the change in ownership involving
Cricket, and feel free to contact me should you have any questions or concerns.
