Dear Mr.Barnum:
The Idaho Public Utilities Commission (IPUC)received the application for a Certificate
of Public Convenience and Necessity you submitted on behalf of Computer Network Technology
Corporation (CNTC)of intent to conduct business in Idaho as a telecommunications company.
Idaho's laws that define the teleconununications services that are subject to the IPUC's
jurisdiction limit that jurisdiction to "switched"services. The services identified in CNTC's
application are non-switched,so no certificate is required. Those services are entirelyoutside the
Commission's jurisdiction,so no further filings or notices to the IPUC are required to provide
those non-switched telecommunications services in Idaho.
Sincerely,
Wayne Hart
Telecommunications Analyst
