On November 4 2003, the Commission received a letter from Choctaw Communications
Inc. dba Smoke Signal Communications (Choctaw) requesting to withdraw Certificate of Public
Convenience and Necessity No. 381 issued to it in October 1999. Case No. GNR-99-, Order No.
28159. Choctaw indicated that it has no customers and no plans to operate in the State ofIdaho.
Choctaw has withdrawn its Certificate of Authority, issued by the Secretary of State, to transact
business in the State ofIdaho. At the Decision Meeting on November 12 2003 , Staff recommended
to the Commission that Choctaw s request be granted and Choctaw s Certificate be withdrawn
without prejudice. This Order approves Choctaw Communications, Inc. dba Smoke Signal
Communications' request to withdraw its CPCN.
ORDER
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that Choctaw Communications, Inc. dba Smoke Signal
Communications' request to withdraw Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity No.3 81 is
approved.
THIS IS A FINAL ORDER. Any person interested in this Order or in interlocutory
Orders previously issued in this Case No. CHT-03-1 may petition for reconsideration within
twenty-one (21) days of the service date of this Order with regard to any matter decided in this Order
or in interlocutory Orders previously issued in this Case No. CHT-03-1. Within seven (7) days
after any person has petitioned for reconsideration, any other person may cross-petition for
reconsideration. See Idaho Code gg 61-619 and 61-626.
