TO AMEND CERTIFICATE NO. 227 TO
REFLECT THE NAME CHANGE TO
CENTURYTEL OF THE GEM STATE, INC.
MINUTE ORDER
On April 24, 2003 , Gem State Utilities Corporation submitted a request to change its
name to CenturyTel of the Gem State, Inc. The Company provided the Idaho Secretary of
State s Amended Certificate of Authority that indicates the Company changed its name on May
, 1998. The Company requested that the Commission reflect the change of name on its
Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity No. 227 issued to Gem State Utilities
Corporation on May 7, 1956. Consequently, the Commission authorizes the name change from
Gem State Utilities Corporation to CenturyTel of the Gem State, Inc. on Certificate of Public
Convenience and Necessity No. 227. The name change shall also be reflected on the price lists
on file with the Commission.
