Necessity to Provide Local Exchange Service and Intrastate Interexchange Services Within the
State of Idaho (the "Application
Dear Sir or Madam:
Charter Fiberlink ID - CCVII, LLC ("Charter ) hereby respectfully requests the withdrawal of the
above-referenced Application from further consideration by the Idaho Public Utilities Commission (the
Commission ). As of the date of this letter, Charter has not yet commenced the provision of
telecommunications services in Idaho. As such, no customers will be affected by the action requested by
Charter herein.
Charter understands from discussions with Ms. Carolee Hall of the Commission s Staff that its
initial service offerings, consisting of private line voice and data services, are not subject to regulation by
the Commission as they qualify as Data Local Exchange Carrier (DLEC) services. Accordingly, Charter
does not need certification as requested in the Application to provision its initial services in Idaho.
Enclosed are the original and eight (8) copies of this letter. Please file the letter in your usual
fashion and return one (1) file-stamped copy to us in the enclosed, pre-addressed envelope. If you have
any questions regarding the foregoing, please contact the undersigned.
