HomeMy WebLinkAbout20121116Decision Memo.pdfDECISION MEMORANDUM 1 DECISION MEMORANDUM TO: COMMISSIONER KJELLANDER COMMISSIONER SMITH COMMISSIONER REDFORD COMMISSION SECRETARY COMMISSION STAFF FROM: DON HOWELL DEPUTY ATTORNEY GENERAL DATE: NOVEMBER 14, 2012 SUBJECT: BUDGET PREPAY’S MOTIONS FOR LIMITED ADMISSION PRO HAC VICE, CASE NO. BPP-T-12-01 On November 1, 2012, Budget Prepay, Inc. dba Budget Mobile filed two Motions pursuant to Rule 43 and Bar Commission Rule 227, for Limited Admission Pro Hac Vice for and on behalf of its attorneys: Thorvald A. Nelson and Sara K. Rundell. The Motions were signed and attested to by Budget Prepay’s local counsel, Pamela Howland of the firm Holland & Hart, LLP in Boise. In their respective Motions, Mr. Nelson and Ms. Rundell certify that they are active members in good standing of the Bar of Colorado and they maintain regular practices of law as attorneys with Holland & Hart in Greenwood Village and Denver, respectively. In addition, Mr. Nelson is also a member of the Montana Bar. They further declare they are not residents of the State of Idaho or licensed to practice law in Idaho. Mr. Nelson has previously been granted limited admission in six cases, while Ms. Rundell has been previously admitted in three cases. Both Motions state that a copy of the Motion and the applicable fee has been provided to the Idaho State Bar. Both counsels certify that the above information is true to the best of their knowledge. Finally, Ms. Howland requests that the Commission excuse her from appearing during any Commission proceeding in this matter. STAFF RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends the Commission grant the Motions conditioned upon the State Bar receiving its fees.
