MERGER WITH AT&T CORP.)
On September 14,2012,AT&T Communications of the Mountain States,Inc.and
AT&T Corp.filed an Application with the Commission requesting to amend Certificate No.295
to reflect the merger of AT&T Communications and AT&T Corp.The merger is to consolidate
intrastate telecommunications services currently provided by multiple and duplicative entities in
Idaho.The Company states that the merger will not affect Company operations and that it will
be transparent to customers.
The Commission previously issued Order No.26575 granting AT&T
Communications’request to amend its Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity No.295
to enable it to provide local telecommunications services in Idaho.The Amendment to
Certificate No.295 was issued to AT&T Communications of the Mountain States,Inc.in August
1996.
Based on our review of the Application,the Commission finds that it is reasonable to
amend Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity No.295 solely to reflect the change in
name from AT&T Communications of the Mountain States,Inc.to AT&T Corp.
ORDER
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity
No.295 is amended to reflect the name change from AT&T Communications of the Mountain
States,Inc.to AT&T Corp.
THIS IS A FINAL ORDER.Any person interested in this Order may petition for
reconsideration within twenty-one (21)days of the service date of this Order with regard to any
matter decided in this Order in Case No.ATT-T-l2-01.Within seven (7)days after any person
has petitioned for reconsideration,any other person may cross-petition for reconsideration.See
Idaho Code §61-626 and 62-619.
