FOR DESIGNATION AS AN ELIGIBLE TELECOMMUNICATIONS CARRIER, CASE NO. ALL-T-10-01 On October 16, 2013, Allied Wireless Communications Corp. dba Alltel Wireless, (“Allied” or “Company”) filed a Notice of Relinquishment of its eligible telecommunications carrier (“ETC”) designation in Idaho pursuant to 47 U.S.C § 214(e)(4). The Commission granted ETC status to Allied on March 22, 2011. See Order No. 32209. Allied’s Notice was issued in lieu of the Company’s Annual Report and Certification. Allied states that its customers, spectrum licenses, network and all other operational assets used to serve its customers in its designated ETC area have been transferred to AT&T, Inc. (“AT&T”). Allied states that each of the ILEC wire centers that comprise its former ETC designation area will continue to be served by at least one ETC. Allied believes that all of its previous customers will continue to be served by AT&T and the remaining ETCs will not be required to purchase or construct additional facilities to continue providing service within those wire centers. COMMISSION DECISION Does the Commission approve Allied’s Application to relinquish its ETC designation in Idaho? M:ALL-T-10-01_np3
