On October 16, 2013, Allied Wireless Communications Corp. dba Alltel Wireless,
(“Allied” or “Company”) filed a Notice of Relinquishment of its eligible telecommunications carrier
(“ETC”) designation in Idaho pursuant to 47 U.S.C § 214(e)(4). The Commission granted ETC

Allied’s Notice was issued in lieu of the Company’s Annual Report and Certification.
Allied states that its customers, spectrum licenses, network and all other operational assets used to
serve its customers in its designated ETC area have been transferred to AT&T, Inc. (“AT&T”).
Allied states that each of the ILEC wire centers that comprise its former ETC designation area will
continue to be served by at least one ETC. Allied believes that all of its previous customers will
continue to be served by AT&T and the remaining ETCs will not be required to purchase or construct
additional facilities to continue providing service within those wire centers.
