A TC also offers High Speed Wireless Internet. Network description: Over the past several years ATC has been installing equipment and engineering projects with the sole purpose in mind to make available to our customers broadband connectivity. We continue to deploy fiber in the loop, install Digital Loop Carrier systems with 12 000-foot loops and are developing a fiber backbone that will have the ability to handle huge amounts of data. In 2005 A TC added 12 miles of copper and 4.5 miles of fiber cable. In 2005 ATC installed 3 more Tekelec soft switches which enables us to offer the next generation of switching. Also in 2005 A TC installed a High Speed Wireless System in a neighboring exchange that had previously no high speed Internet. ATC is currently using Fujitsu fiber terminals for our backhaul and several brands of Digital Loop Carriers including AFC, Telstrat, SRS, Adtran and Calix. Transmission Rate:From 256kb to 3Mb Number and Percentage ofIdaho customers served: ATC added 301 new customers this year bringing the total to 700 with at least one of the above-mentioned services. The availability of these services to ATe's total customer base has increased from 85% to 93% in the past year.
