VPI-W-24-01. On January 11, 2024, VP Inc. (“VP”) applied for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity to provide water service near Sandpoint, Idaho (“Application”). The Commission directed VP to file the Application after finding it was a water corporation subject to regulation as a public utility in Case No. GNR-W-17-01. See Order No. 35998 at 4. On February 20, 2024, VP amended its Application to also include a request to increase its rates and charges for water service.1 STAFF RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends the Commission issue a Notice of Application and Notice of Intervention Deadline establishing a 21-day intervention period. COMMISSION DECISION Does the Commission wish to issue a Notice of Application and Notice of Intervention Deadline establishing a 21-day intervention period? ______________________________ Adam Triplett Deputy Attorney General 1 Although the proposed tariff VP included with its amended Application listed an effective date of January 1, 2024 in the footer of the document, Staff does not interpret this as a proposed effective date as the date is not mentioned anywhere else in the body of the amended application. Therefore Staff does not believe it is not necessary to issue a Notice of Suspension of the Proposed Effective Date.
