Comment: "Hello IPUC Commissioners,
Thank you for your �me in reviewing this case related to providing water in the South Ada county area.
Due to the higher popula�on growth throughout the Treasure Valley, and par�cularly in the South Boise
area, sta�c water levels that were previously available for exis�ng wells have dropped enough that new
wells at significantly lower depths are required.

As a result, homeowners (including ourselves) have looked to the possibility of Veolia being able to
provide water to our neighborhood due to the close proximity with which their organiza�on already
provides water (less than 1/8 mile).
If the funds are approved to provide water to our neighborhood of about 50 homes, as well as several
other streets with a similar status, this will absolve the need to drill a new well at depths closer to 180-
200 feet.

We also recognize that some of the Valley's main acquifers are at a lower depth than than, and we would
likely be unable to drill a well further for water in the future in order to maintain water quality for
thousands of others in the area, pu�ng us in a bit of a pickle.

Working with Veolia and the Ada County Commissioner's office has opened the possibility to have safe,
clean water for our family and our neighbors for many years in the future. We kindly ask this request be
approved due to the high cost of a new well and the proximity to Veolia all around us.
