RE:VEO-W-23-01,Veolia Water Idaho.Inc,-Application for approvalof Water Main
Installation Agreement and Request for Modined Procedure.
Dear Commission:
Tbc Board of Ada County Comrnissioners respectfully requests that the klabo Public Utilities
Commission approve the application for approvalofthe water main installation agreement
between Veolia Water Idaho,Inc.and Ada County.The Board also asks the Commission to
approve the request for modified procedure.
Et was broughtto the Board's attention last year that a signHicant number of residences in the
southwest area of the County were experiencing well failure.The Board determined that it would
utilize some of the American Rescue Plan Act limds for this water project that would assist
homeowners to connect to a reliable source of water.
Attached to federal dollars are many requirements to ensure that the grant is used appropriately.It
has taken significanttime,even though parties have attempted to move as expeditiously as
possible.The Board requests that the Commission,within the confines of its regulations,moves
as expeditiously as possible on this application so this project may move forward.
