Comment: "The percentage of increase is far too high. It surpasses typical cost of living increases in anybody's wage rates, etc., and many people (the vulnerable and those less so)
have been been hit hard, financially and otherwise, by the pandemic. It's certainly not the right time to increase a utility cost rate by that much! I find it disturbing that this request comes so
soon after Veolia, an international, for-profit entity took the reigns of the utility. Sure, improvements may account for some of the increase request but if those costs must be put on
water consumers (and the question is whether all of them are reasonable and are appropriately assessed to us), they ought to be phased in over more time, not by such a large rate increase.
