Veolia can invest profits to maintain, improve or extend service. But sadly this also includes the profits of huge for-profit companies. I find it unacceptable that Veolia Water is requesting yet another (massive) rate increase for a necessary utility so they can increase their profits on the shoulders of us individuals. Additionally, I could go into how I think it is unacceptable that our water utility is neither public nor locally owned. That a company with a revenue of more than $28 billion dollars in 2021 has been allowed to buy themselves into our state and screw over ourselves and our neighbors. Where’s the Idaho pride in that? Please do not consider the rate increase request from Veolia Water. Thank you. Boise residents should not have to pay to supply Avimor with water when that development should never have been approved due to inadequate water supply. Please deny Veolia’s request!" ------ From:PUCWeb Notification To:Jan Noriyuki Subject:Notice: A comment was submitted to PUCWeb Date:Wednesday, October 12, 2022 10:00:09 AM Name: Diane Graybeal Submission Time: Oct 12 2022 9:11AMEmail: dougdyan5@gmail.com Telephone: 208-340-2498Address: 4500 N. As a Southeast Boise resident, I have seen no improvement in water quality or accessibility. I understand the rate increase is directly related to the Avimor subdivision and selling of the Eagle water company. At the same time, the company is expected to continue its strong profit growth. Speaking as an older adult on a limited, fixed income, I cannot afford funding this corporate profit growth. " ------
