Comment: "It appears as per attachment 2 of application, that 5/8" -3/4"meter rates will rise from
$22.96 to $28.48. This is additional raise from ~$1 increase last year. Will there be any changes in the
cost per CCF?
In general, and based on other treasure valley utilities this charge (meter) seems a large percentage
of overall customer bill. Any attempt to reduce water usage here in our desert climate while we are
drought conditions will currently result in only a small decrease in overall bill. With this increase, cost
benefit of water reduction will be more negligible.
I understand that bulk of water usage is from irrigation, but wouldn't it also help our current demand
for water by increasing the price per CCF and lowering the meter charge. With this change the
average bill will be comparable, but those customers wishing to conserve water will see a bigger bang
for their buck.
Also will date/time of any hearings and/or public comment meetings be posted on your website
under this case? Thanks Brian"
