How sweet!United Water is back asking for another fat rate increase.Three years ago they
wanted 20%and this time its 13.2%.Not bad for an out of state utility that see no end to
spending the rate payers money.
I encourage the PUC to pare this request back to what is deemed essential.Maybe some
sacrifices are in order for management and employees that others in the community have had to
make.I see a well maintained office,employees driving late model vehicles and we get the
perertual lecture with the bill to use water wisely.I’d like to see their monthly Customer
Charge pared back to what is charged by Idaho Power and intermountain Gas.
Some rate relief is probably needed,double digit rate relief isn’t.
