SUBJECT: UNITED WATER’S APPLICATION TO TAKE OVER BRIAN WATER,
CASE NO. UWI-W-14-01

On today’s Consent Agenda as Item No. 5 is Karl Klein’s Decision Memorandum
regarding the above-referenced case. The Staff and the Company are in agreement that this
matter should be processed via Modified Procedure. However, Staff and the Company wish to
modify the comment deadline date initially set out in Karl’s Decision Memorandum dated
October 9, 2014. Staff and the Company have now agreed that initial comments should be due
on November 28, and the Company’s reply comments (if any) should be due December 12,
2014.
