As a retiree, I have come to appreciate the term 'fixed income'. As a matter of fact,
reduction in household water usage the past couple of years has been the result of my attempt
to save water AND MONEY to the benefit of local water conservation efforts AND stretch the
aformentioned . fixed income' I and my wife are attempting to make work for us.
Now, let me see if I have this straight.... by reducing my water consumption UNITED WATER
wants to RAISE my water bill by almost 20%??? This is a joke, right? It surely must be,
because all of my out-of-area friends I relay this to simply roll in laughter when I tell
them this. Isn' t system improvements already build into annual operating budgets anyway, or
is using TYPICAL government . management' style as a model, does UNITED WATER simply lurch
from budgetary crisis to budgetary crisis as they arise?
This is an absolutely rediculous proposal by UNITED WATER, and since there is apparently no
other advocate for me or every other water consumer served (?) by UNITED WATER, please note
that I am appealing for protection from the PUC from this rediculous and unreasonable rate
increase proposal.
