I believe that the requested 19.1% rate increase is outrageous. This increase was requested
because consumption has decreased. Consumption has decreased because people are doing
without to save money. This increase would punish everyone for saving. This increase would
make all our water saving changes irrelevant. To increase everyone' s rate at a time when
everyone is cutting back should not be allowed. Uni ted Water Idaho needs to do the hard work
and look for other ways to cut back and stay within their budget.

As Idaho and Ada County residents, my wife and I are against the Water Rate raise. Please
look at overhead and expenses by the Water Company and determine if the rate increase is
REALLY essential. If my business takes in less income, I need to cut back expenses, not
raise prices.
