Thank you for your consideration of public comments regarding United Water Idaho's rate
increase request. I am hereby submitting my comment in opposition to the proposed increase.
One of UWI i S main reasons cited for the increase is to compensate for decreased revenues that
have resulted from lower consumption. Yet every summer UWI charges us a considerably higher
amount per unit of water on the grounds that consumption is so much higher in the summer
months. So UWI i S argument is that we must pay more when water demand increases, and we must
also pay more when water demand decreases.. They can't have it both ways, can they?

I am going on record to say this request is more than ludicrous. In these time of recession when people are
loosing their homes, have no possibilty of getting a job, scraping to make ends meet, cost of fuel, cost of food,
coming winter heating bils, tax increases from the governents (city, state, federal), this is no time to ask for
an increase much less 20%.
Use your head, a few % wil keep you above water. Your projected Seven milion + increase in profit is pure
greed and this request is pathetic.

I feel that this proposed 20% increase is a absolute disgrace. We
to conserve water during the heat of the summer and to save money.
