Wow! United Water is proposing an overall rate increase of 15.21%. I wish my teacher's
salary had an increase like that.
I wish to encourage the IPUC to deny this rate increase for United Water customers. If
United Water wants to make improvements and replace aging infrastructure I believe it should
do so at the company's expense. If I owned a business and wanted to make improvements I
would be forced to use my profit revenue to make capitol improvements for the good of the
company. Perhaps public utility companies work on a different business model and are allowed
to keep profits and raise rates to create additional revenue to make their improvements.
Seems like they want their cake and eat it to. I cannot afford to keep paying higher utility
rates. Please deny this request.
